Miguel Angel Iriarte was born in Lima, Peru and grew up in the Northern Virginia suburbs of Washington, D.C. During that time he travelled extensively to South America and Europe and developed a passion for drawing and how buildings come together and a love of Architecture. After earning a Bachelor of Arts degree (with a major in Architecture) in 1993 at Columbia University he began his apprenticeship in an Architecure / Engineering office where he learned how to bring together a full set of Architectural Drawings and to coordinate the designs with the Structural, Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing design of new buildings. In 1998 Miguel began his Masters in Architecture at Virginia Tech in the rural town of Blacksburg, Virginia. Upon obtaining his Masters in Architecture degree in 2002, he began practicing in the historic neighborhood of Georgetown in Washington, D.C. concentrating on residential remodels and additions throughout Washington D.C. and the outer shores of Maryland at the office of Overmyer Architects. In 2006 Miguel moved to Los Angeles, California where he worked at a few residential design firms before he recieved his license to practice Architecture in 2012. He is a registered Architect in Virginia, Maryland, Washington D.C. and California where he resides.
